Lunt Returns To Crewe

Out-of-favour Wednesday midfielder Kenny Lunt has returned to former club Crewe on month-long loan after falling out of favour with Owls' boss Brian Laws at Hillsborough.

The Runcorn-born midfield made his name at Gresty Road after coming through the famous Alex Academy with Dario Gradi, but has struggled to get in to the Wednesday first team this season.

Glenn Whelan and Yoann Folly both departed S6 in the January transfer window but the midfielder is still a way down the pecking order after the arrivals of Graham Kavanagh, Ronnie Wallwork and Adam Bolder.

And the 27-year-old is desperate for some first-team action, and will be hoping to go straight in to the Crewe side that makes the trip to Leeds United this Saturday.

The move could well be the beginning of the end for Lunt at S6, with a summer departure on the cards.
