Chelsea's Sahar Set For Owls

Hot Chelsea prospect Ben Sahar is reportedly all set for a loan move to Hillsborough after Wednesday agreed a deal in principle to bring the Israel hitman to Hillsborough on Monday.

Owls' boss Brian Laws had already revealed he was hoping to bring a Premiership striker to help Wednesday out of their current relegation battle, something which has been made an even bigger priority following the season-ending injury to Akpo Sodje.

And Chelsea boss Avram Grant has already agreed to the deal and allowed Sahar to travel up to Sheffield to talk with Laws about a loan move to the Championship - something which Laws is hoping can come off.

'Ben Sahar is a player we have been talking about and he is a very talented young player,' he told the official SWFC website.

'Despite his young age he has played for Chelsea and he has played for Israel at full international level so we know he has plenty of quality.

'We are going to talk to the player before anything is done because he is young and new to the country so probably does not know too much about Sheffield Wednesday. Chelsea have agreed to the move in principal so it should go ahead if the player is happy with the move.'

Sahar has already made his name with a number of first team appearances for the Blues', and has also been capped internationally.

It's unlikely the striker will be signed and sealed in time for the clash with Coventry City, but if the hitman does agree to a move to South Yorkshire, he could well be included in the squad for the visit of Cardiff City at the weekend.

His spell at Qpr was interupted by an appendix operation, hes very highly rated at Chelsea and that's enough for me, we need him.
McQuaid-Owls
VERY VERY VERY good signing if we can seal it, just what the doctor ordered now sodje is out. All we need is some consistancy and we'll be fine but thats easy to say than done.
Gilley21
His goalscoring record at club levell is; played 5 first team games for cheslski and scored 0, played 7 fist team games for QPR and scored 0. International levell slightly better but noy great. Chelski expect good things from him so can't be that bad?
will it ever happen

This guy is supposedly quite a talent. I think he played against England [in Israel] and was quick. At 18 I am sure he has a lot to learn, but this would be a good signing in my opinion.

Can't be any worse than what we've got can he??? Bit pessimistic but all I can muster today
