Owls And Sky Blues Frozen Out

Wednesday's Championship clash with Coventry City tonight has been put back for a second time after a Hillsborough pitch inspection this lunchtime deemed the pitch frozen.

The Owls saw the original match with the Sky Blues abandoned due to a waterlogged pitch last year, and will now have to wait further to play their game in hand on their rivals after freezing weather thwarted the Hillsborough pitch.

The club had been using the under-soil heating since the weekend but mother nature came out on top, and Wednesday will be hoping the weather improves for Saturday's clash with Cardiff City at S6.

Further information on a new date for the match will be posted on the official SWFC website or right here at Vital Sheffield Wednesday.

shame cause cov are doing utter *****e at the mo and we could probably beat them, when we next play them they'll have Chris Coleman and new managers luck come into to play. Cardiff on sat what do you reckon the score will be?

Coventry's confidence would have been low after the 5-0 hammering at the weekend and this would have been a great time to play them. Now they have just hired Coleman as there new manager he can get them motivated and start winning again. Just our luck, AGAIN!!
will it ever happen
get em playin wont do em any harm bunch off puffs

Would have rather played them tonight, though new manager probably watching so they'd want to impress. Chances are they'll be playing better when we finally play them. Our undersoil heating must be rubbish. For 'SWFC undersoil heating' read 'Two men with hairdryers'.
