Lunt Feels Hard Done By

Wednesday midfielder Kenny Lunt has spoken of his delight at returning to former club Crewe on loan and insists he hasn't had a fair crack of the whip at Hillsborough this season.

The Runcorn-born midfielder secured a loan switch to Gresty Road, where he came through the youth ranks under former boss Dario Gradi, after falling down the pecking order at S6 with the arrivals of Graham Kavanagh, Ronnie Wallwork and Adam Bolder.

Lunt has made just three appearances in the blue and white stripes this season and he told the official Crewe Alex website that he hadn't been given a fair shot by Owls' boss Brian Laws.

'I don't think I have a fair opportunity at Sheffield Wednesday this season, so I needed to get out and play some games again,' he said.

'I have started three games this season and we haven't done so well. Last season I played over 30 and we were tenth in the table, so I don't think I've had a fair chance this year.

'I need games and I want to be playing. I've been training all week with nothing to look forward to on the Saturday, and Crewe have again given me a chance to play competitive football.'

mick66owl
just for the record tho, yet another player who is massively de-motivated. all you laws fans out there must be coming round to the truth. like lenny says we were 10th last season with essentialy the same team (with a few notable exceptions)
mansfieldowl
definitily the reason were not in the play-offs this season, cause he's only started 3 games, nothing to do with macca brunt whelan etc gone its just cause he hasn't played 30 games,
McQuaid-Owls
is he trying to say the reason we finished 9th was because he has'nt played!! ahem- Brunt,Whelen,Tudgay,Mclean, and even Burton found there shooting boots last season, have you ever scored kenny? The lazy little *****.
tommyg
A complete waste of time he was and a robbing so and so!!
will it ever happen
haha, this guys a clown, hes got to be the most hated man to ever put on a wednesday shirt,.8grand a week, what a terrible terrible waste,we are not in a position to be paying this twxx,,.please crewe, free transfer,. he is demotivated sure, but hes never had that will to win, that decent players have,,.hes a boy,..you have every right to critisis laws but hes got nothing to work with, granted hes made some bad mistakes, releasing players better than the ones he signed being the fundimental one but i like him and he can dig us out of this hole,.
raven jet byrne
he might suit you but he was a little fish in a big pond up here and very much out of his depth. mansfield the ones who have gone laws had to let go because of our financial position
mick66owl
The run we had at the end of last season where we finished 10th, how many of those games did he play?
Placebo
lunt you are just like jeff horsefield good riddens to expensive worthless players. its a discrace.
bladesforlife1889
who missed a penalty against derby, lunt, we could have used that extra money alot, that is the only thing he has done all season except robbing off us, 8 grand a week, i wouldnt give £800

Lenny has the complacency that is contributing to crippling the starting 16. One of the few that clearly think they deserve a place in the squad. I'm afraid all I ever saw Kenny do was chase shadows. Just not good enough for me. Useless is the one word that sums him up

Seen him play numerous times this season and I put him in the same bracket as Deon Burton though Lunt is worse. They both expected to play and haven't because when they needed to stand up and be counted, they bottled it. Now they're not playing and they're being mardy about it. Worse signing Sturrock ever made, though I heard that he wasn't really Sturrocks choice but I don't think I should open up that discussion again.
Disgruntled Owl
whos choice was it then??
mick66owl
who missed a sitter against birmingham that could well have got us into playoffs?? yes it was u lenny... ur sh-it n u no u are!!!
