Owls Set To Bag Sahar

Wednesday are today all set to sign young Chelsea striker Ben Sahar on a one month loan from the Premiership club.

Owls boss Brian Laws revealed that he had agreed a deal in principle to bring the young Israeli international to Hillsborough, but the player had yet to agree to the deal.

But Laws has now revealed that Sahar is keen to link up with the Championship club for a month's loan deal to get some vital first team experience while he's down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge.

'He wants to come. He said he's spoken to a few people, and got good recommendations about the club,' Laws told the Sheffield Star.

'I'm pleased. He'll give us an extra option. Although he's young, he's certainly not raw. He's also played in front of big crowds, so he can handle that.

'His credentials are very good for such a young player, and he plays above his age.'

Sahar is set to go straight in to the Owls' squad to face a crucial match with Cardiff City on Saturday.

will it ever happen
glad he's coming, but hope he can stay fr longer than a month!! hes got tallent and comes from a club that knows how to win. just what we need
Walkley
if he fits in and looks the part no reason why he shouldn't stay longer, he's obviously looking for a game and we could be just what he needs, watch out for the injury voodoo, bet he hasn't told of the cloud that is causing so many problems for us recently.
dbblue

Think the crowd here always plays a big part in helping make loan players minds up when it comes to extending loan spells - let's hope we can do the same this time. Important to remember that he's still only a kid and won't turn our season around with presence, leadership etc - he can't make everything right again all over the pitch - but if he could bang a few goals in it would be nice!
SuperOwls
well done laws, now lets get this show on the road!!
dbblue
