Owls Extend Showunmi Loan

Owls Extend Showunmi Loan

Wednesday boss Brian Laws has extended striker Enoch Showunmi's loan spell at Hillsborough from Bristol City for another month.

The Nigerian international has been heavily involved in the Owls' recent matches since joining on an emergency loan deal and has had a hand in a number of goals, forming a partnership with Marcus Tudgay.

And with Francis Jeffers, Akpo Sodje and Leon Clarke all sidelined, and no incoming strikers on the horizon, Laws has bagged the powerful forward for another month at least, with a third and final month also on offer should all parties agree to the stay.

Laws is also set to discuss a possible loan extension for midfielder Adam Bolder, currently on loan from Queens Park Rangers on a one-month deal.

But Bolder will play no further part in his remaining two matches as a Wednesday player under his current deal, with a yellow card against Barnsley forcing him to sit out the next two matches through suspension.

I have quite liked showumni and bolder, showumni has looked more confident and sharper in every game he just needs a goal, hopefully he will get one or two tomorrow night, bolder I have liked aswell lets hope some of our injured start to reappear again soon! I heard esajas is back in full training which is good

Cannot believe we have extended his loan. A complete donkey who has no idea where the net is! He's had one good game and that was against Charlton. Send him back to Bristol and quickly!
will it ever happen

Holl I totally agree. Showumni has so much ability, he makes strong powerfull runs with the ball at his feet and tries hard to fight for everything aerial. We need Clarke and Burton out and weve got to sign this lad up asap. He was amazing against Charlton at home and a great game at Cardiff at home too.

Bit of split opinion then. Don't think he's up to much myself. Very similar to Sodje but without the aerial ability or the shooting ability. I think this shows that Laws hasn't managed to sign up anyone higher quality.

Maybe its the picture shown above, looks abit like he's just woke up. Can I ask WIEH, FBNW and Mick66owl where would the hustle and strength come from if he wasnt here?? Deon - I dont think so, Ben Sahar - No Chance, So Showumni and Tudgay is our best option for the minute.

hussle??? do u mean wen he attempts to run through people n falls over?? wat strngth?? never wins headers (except maybe for tuds goal vs cardiff) end product is nowhere to be seen!! anyone remember his simple 5 yard pass to sahar @ barnsley that didnt make it... i no it was windy but come on!! iv seen sahar n the boy can finish.. therefore tuds holdin the ball n winnin headers for sahar is our best bet! everyone is entitled to their own opinion n that is mine!!
