Lunt Extends Crewe Loan

Wednesday midfielder Kenny Lunt has extended his loan spell at former club Crewe Alexandra until the end of the season after impressing on his return to Gresty Road.

The Runcorn-born midfielder, who came up through the Academy at Crewe under the guidance of Dario Gradi, returned to the League One club last month on a loan spell after falling down the pecking order at S6 under boss Brian Laws.

And Lunt has now extended his loan until the end of the season, pendinng confirmation from the Football League.

The 29-year-old has fallen way down the pecking order at Wednesday and made an impressive debut for Alex in their 1-1 draw with Leeds United less than two weeks ago.

And it could be the last that Owls' fans see of Lunt, with the possibility of Lunt turning his move in to a full deal should he continue to impress before the end of the season.
