'If It's Football, It's Vital'

YOUR SAY: Johnson Red

Jermaine Johnson's sending off in the 1-0 defeat to West Brom on Tuesday night certainly got Owls fans talking, and the Vital Sheffield Wednesday regulars have been having their say.

Needless to say the Vital Sheffield Wednesday forums have been bustling with activity since the Owls' crushing defeat, in which man in the middle Andy D'Urso controversially sent off Jermaine Johnson with 12 minutes to spare.

And it's pretty safe to say that from the reaction on the forums and on the article comments, Mr D'Urso won't be a welcome figure at Hillsborough in the near future.

NicNac said: 'I was on the South and all I saw was JJ getting strangled. I'd like to know how that's a sending off offence!'

DarkOwl said: 'That decision tonight goes past incompetence and enters favouritism. It's not possible for that to been seen differently then it was. Just to prove the decision was mad we get the free kick.'

But despite the reaction to D'Urso's performance, there were also members that believed JJ was right to see red.

sr_1867 said: 'Yes the officials were poor tonight. They got one decision correct JJ had to go. Went for Greening twice second time connecting. He has a habit of flinging his elbows about did it a couple of times in first half.'

East_Yorks_Owl said: 'JJ did clearly elbow him. Whether it was a sending off I'm not sure but it's not the howler that most fans on here seemed to have made it out to be. I don't think that Red card will be rescinded.'

Did you see the incident?

Think JJ was right to be sent off, or think it was a bad decision on the part of Andy D'Urso?

Not too bothered about whether it was a deserved red card or not. More concerned with the length of time it is taking to hear something positive about the takeover. The sooner it is done the quicker the club can move forward. We need help and we need it fast otherwise we will be playing Leeds next season.

I think we're at the point where no news is good news. We're only going to hear speculation until something is definite due to the company being a PLC and the rules of the takeover procedure. I might bury myself in a bunker for two weeks and hope that we have another 12 points on the board and new owners by the time I emerge

Well it looks like a mixed opinion. Those sat on the South stand say he should have gone compared to the rest of the fans in the gound!"
will it ever happen

FUTURES BLUE N WHITE
I'm int he kop and thought they both should have gone but this from my mate in south stand, sitting pretty much right in front of where it all kicked off: Yes, we got a good view & Johnson wasn't culpable at all - he did nothing wrong - the other player was at fault.
