Laws Set For Triple Boost

Wednesday could be dealt a triple boost at a vital time in the Championship season with the news that Francis Jeffers, Frank Simek and Steve Watson have all returned to training.

Owls boss Brian Laws has been down to the bare bones in recent weeks, forcing him to enter in to the loan market, but he could well be given a huge boost with the positive injury news as the Owls look to pull themselves out of relegation trouble.

The trio all came through a practice match at Middlewood Road, and are set to get a run-out in a reserve fixture next week as they look to step up to first-team action in the coming weeks.

Laws told the Sheffield Star: 'Jeffers and Watson looked sharp in the practice match and both scored, and it was nice to see Simek back in action.

'Obviously they're going to be match-rusty, which should be expected.

'I'm going to look at playing them in the next reserve game (at York next Wednesday] and make another assessment after that.'

The Wednesday boss is likely to be extra careful over the return of former Everton and Arsenal mann Jeffers, but his return to the fold could provide the extra ammunition required in attack to help ease the Owls' relegation fears.

Hey swfcjambo,you should run a book.I'm with boothe,I'll have a bet lol.
i'll have a 5 he doesnt get off training ground without being injured
I'll have a tenner on him not even getting out of his car at training ground without pulling something! And I'm not on about a canteen lady either!
Poor Franny. That lad and his glass ankles have no luck. Still, he did score a cracker for us against Hull!
Sorry folks, all bets are now off. I can't afford it! Ironic that the lowest scoring option in the current site poll is most likely to happen!! ABout time the poll was changed?
dam thought i was guna make some easy cash there
I'll say he scores a hat-trick in every game from saturday till the end of the season!

Abit more here on about Steve Clarke etc.. -
Bigash* OK, this seems to be the latest.... no formal offer has been received....
Nearly 2 weeks now since verbal offers had been agreed. Been looking on the message boards and it's getting nasty. Everyone trying to blame someone. I'd just really like to know what the hell is going on.

Even though our back four is looking solid - I would have still liked Michael Johnson back at wednesday. His leadership and communication are something we are lacking - Didnt we go up to heights of 14th when Johnson was here?
just deen weve signed frank song'o from portsmouth
no i ment 9 hatricks dblue hehehehe
Second choice to Adam Johnson - we'll pay for it in the end
Anyone know anything about him???
try wikipedia/franck songo
Actually give him his dues, he was at Palace when they went on a winning streak of 4 or 5 games, played everyone. He looks in the same mold as JJ, but lets hope he's got abit better balance and has a consistant end product.
MJ is at Notts County now!
I like Songo'o. Middlesborough seem to be wanting to hold onto Adam Johnson. He'd have probably gone to Watford otherwise. I think this guy is probably as good as Johnson. Hopefully more consistent.
