Spurr Wanted Again

Wednesday left-back Tommy Spurr has been linked with a move away from S6 again, with Ipswich Town said to be monitoring the youngster.

Spurr has already been the target of a bid from Championship rivals QPR, in which he played a part in the 2-1 victory over the Loftus Road club yesterday.

The Owls fended off the approach from the R's, but today's People has linked Wednesday old-boy Jim Magilton with a move for the young Owls academy product.

But it's likely that Wednesday will again turn down any approaches for the young left-back, with a possible take over meaning the Owls can hold on to their prize assets.

this boy is getting better by the game and could go all the way if given the chance, are we gonna be the club he does it with?
ipswich can ***k my ***k!
he will not progress any further at wendy and has to move on to a bigger club in order to better himself. when wendy go down they will cash in would be an excellent investment and 1.5m!!
No reason at all to sell him at the moment. If we go down then there are numerous players that are going to leave - I can accept that - but if we stay up I want a Spurr, Wood, Beevers, Simek back four next year.
Disgruntled Owl
Spurr Wood Beevers Simek back four would be a quality premiership defence in a few years time... - Don't sell Spurr

I suppose it is quite flattering in a way to know that a Blade is that interested in us.
He probably loves the attention cuz he has no freinds.
I reckon. There is always a bit of jealousy when it comes to the younger rivals. After all, they are having to survive on hand-me-downs. Our first and ultimately disposed of nickname... Even their "ground" is second-hand.
