Sahar Extends Owls Loan

Young Chelsea starlet Ben Sahar has agreed to extend his stay at Hillsborough for another month - even though he has yet to start a game in the famous blue and white stripes.

The Israel international has yet to make an impact at S6 after agreeing a loan switch from Stamford Bridge, but Owls boss Brian Laws obviously sees something in the youngster that can help the Owls pave their way to safety this season.

Laws told the Sheffield Star: 'I have spoken to Chelsea and the player, and he wants to stay.

'He still wants to be a part of things here and when his chance comes he wants to stick the ball in the back of the net.'

Sahar had only made a handful of appearances for Wednesday from the bench, and saw his chances ended after picking up a hamstring strain which saw him return to Chelsea for treatment.

But Laws has revealed that the player is making good progress following his set-back and could well be in line to return to the squad for Saturday's visit of Crystal Palace.

Who's paying his wages?
swfcjambo
Chelsea apparantly, no confirmation though.
welshyowl
be hopes they are as he hasnt really played

Need to get him playing. Burton made a difference for a few games but it sounds like he's got bored again. Might give Tudgay/Burton another go against Palace and then get Sahar starting if there's nothing happening.
Disgruntled Owl
if he's not playing why is he here? just don't get this one at all

If he was good enough he would have got a chance by now, so were just adding another striker to the bench, which is what showumni is already doing! if we are paying his wages the money couldbe spend better elsewhere! Hes not the top class striker we need
Walkley
In fairness to the lad he's been ill and injured, we have him now for another month so let's hope he gets on better.
McQuaid-Owls
I'm glad his loan has been extended. Just want to see him play 2 or 3 games to see what he is like!
will it ever happen
i forgot he were even here!
benowl
who were here?????? hehehehe
mick66owl
When he came on in the Cardiff, West Brom and Barnsley games, he was the only one who looked like scoring. He would have been guarenteed a start at QPR if he'd not been ill. I think if he starts a game, he'll make a massive difference. Much rather have him playing than Showunmi.
Disgruntled Owl
U can see he's got class he's always movin n makin runs... we just dont have the midfield to find him!!
FUTURES BLUE N WHITE
if he's been ill he won't be starting, it's back to square one, coming off the bench, hope he's given long enough to make an impact, last 10 mins is no good to anybody
dbblue
i think hes a better asset than showaddywaddy
