Warnock Backing Wednesday

Former Sheffield United boss, and self-proclaimed Wednesday-hater Neil Warnock has given the Owls his backing in the battle against relegation, believe it or not!

Warnock, who helped the red and white side of Sheffield to the Premiership before being sacked, brings his play-off chasing Crystal Palace side to Hillsborough on Saturday.

And despite previously insisting that if he ever managed Wednesday he'd do his best to help them towards relegation, good old Neil has given his backing to the Owls by insisting that he'd like Wednesday to stay up this season.

'Despite the stick I will get on Saturday, I am looking forward to it,' Warnock told the Yorkshire Post.

'And although they might think otherwise, I do want Wednesday to stay up.

'It is better for Sheffield football to have both clubs as high up the leagues as possible and I think Wednesday will stay up.'

The die-hard Blade has always had a tough time from Wednesday fans and admits it will be no different when he comes back to Hillsborough with Palace at the weekend.

He continued: 'It is always special going to Hillsborough because of the time I had on the other side of the city. I will get all sorts of abuse again on Saturday, I am sure of that.'

got respect for his managerial skills but the crap that came from his gob was both insulting and condescending, (this premiership is a great place to be, all season long) for me he got his just deserts at the end of last season and was a classic case of live by the sword, die by it, see ya sat neil and yes you will get grief and nil points!!

You thick lot, if you had had Warnock you wouldnt be in the mess you are in now. Great passion and man management, not something you would understand. By the way, he wasnt sacked.

Gloucbalde - give me a break - wake up a smell the pigfood. If you had Warnock you wouldn't be in a mess ... the Wednesday mess is a financial one - unless Warnock had 30Million to spare then the mess does not go away that easy. We wouldn't know anything about Passion and Man management .... this from a team that had Bryan Robson as it's manager ....2-0 !! Finally he wasn't sacked ...factually correct but you are obviously not bright enough to have read between the lines as to why he resigned !!

palace are in with a chance of making the playoffs, more than can be said of piggydom utd, expect a tough game sat, but if the real wednesday turn up 3 points will be ours
