Owls Sign Slusarski
Wednesday boss Brian Laws has further bolstered his attacking options on transfer deadline day with the loan signing of West Brom striker Bartosz Slusarski.
The Polish hitman has been down the pecking order at the Championship promotion hopefuls and will join the Owls on loan for the rest of the season, providing competition for places in attack.
Owls boss Brian Laws told the official SWFC site: "It's important we strengthen the side in the striking area given the injury to Marcus Tudgay and Bartosz will do that.
"He's a Polish international, he certainly has ability and hopefully he will do a job for us during this crucial stage of the season.
Slusarski has been limited to reserve team games for the Baggies, although his form has been prolific, bagging six goals in four games and has already enjoyed a loan spell in the same division with Blackpool.
The move could see fellow loanee Enoch Showunmi move on to pastures new, with Leeds United being linked with a loan move.
Slusarski joined the Baggies in the summer from Polish top-flight side Groclin Dyskobolia for a fee of £680,000 but has so far failed to cement a regular first team place.
And he'll be hoping to show the Baggies what they're missing during his loan stint at S6, with the hitman expected to go straight in to the Wednesday squad to face Stoke City on Saturday.
