Owls Sign Slusarski

Wednesday boss Brian Laws has further bolstered his attacking options on transfer deadline day with the loan signing of West Brom striker Bartosz Slusarski.

The Polish hitman has been down the pecking order at the Championship promotion hopefuls and will join the Owls on loan for the rest of the season, providing competition for places in attack.

Owls boss Brian Laws told the official SWFC site: "It's important we strengthen the side in the striking area given the injury to Marcus Tudgay and Bartosz will do that.

"He's a Polish international, he certainly has ability and hopefully he will do a job for us during this crucial stage of the season.

Slusarski has been limited to reserve team games for the Baggies, although his form has been prolific, bagging six goals in four games and has already enjoyed a loan spell in the same division with Blackpool.

The move could see fellow loanee Enoch Showunmi move on to pastures new, with Leeds United being linked with a loan move.

Slusarski joined the Baggies in the summer from Polish top-flight side Groclin Dyskobolia for a fee of 680,000 but has so far failed to cement a regular first team place.

And he'll be hoping to show the Baggies what they're missing during his loan stint at S6, with the hitman expected to go straight in to the Wednesday squad to face Stoke City on Saturday.

Not exactly pulled up m,any trees at West Brom but willing to give him a go!
Can't be any worse than Enoch. A positive
polish international, that means we now have several full internationals!!!!! ive got high hopes for this lad (little biased as i am half polish!)
cant possibly be worse than enoch!!! we've had some shockin players since wen t dropped from prem..... can we make a best (worse) 11 shockin players in the last 7/8 years??? chuck in ur ideas...... for starters.......adamson, beswetherick, maddix, westwood, hendon - that has to be the back 5 n enoch n kim olsen up front!!
Do the Bartman!
earl barret..... paul mclaren...... adam proudlock...... graham kavanagh...... and there was some bloke with a double barreled surname cant remember it tho. can we have managers? brian laws, terry yorath, chris turner i could go on....and on.....and on.....
Brian Barry-Murphy? Is that who you mean. He was dire. Would put Craig Rocastle in there. Anyone know what build this guy is? Is he another littl'un or a big fella?
Disgruntled Owl
Rocastle's performance in Cardiff alone should give him a free transfer out of that team. And Slusarski is big enough at 6ft1
yea think rocky can be immune from selection for cardiff!! n yes the team will need a manager!! paul smith, steve adams, efan ekoku, lee bullen, kenny lunt................. keep em comin!!
He's very pretty. I know that doesn't really count for anything. But still, I'm not complaining. My local Baggie reckons he is a decent reserves player, but that is about all. Let's hope he is wrong. :) The Baggies do want him to do well against Stoke though!!
patrick blondeau??
lloyd owusu
john hills, leon clarke
Ola Tidman, brian barry - murphy, steve adams, leon clarke, patrick collins, ian hendon, adam proudlock, steve nicol, westwood, lloyd owusu, kenny lunt, shefki kuqi, the list is endless
as long as *****umni goes im not bothered. ryan green, dean smith guy branstone haha, its alr8 this game
I had Blondeau on the back of my orange away shirt!!!!!! and, rather embarrasingly, julian watts on the back of another!!!! d'oh
patrick collins were a decent player
forgot bout tidman!! thanx for bringin back that memory!! lol marlon broomes......
Oh Mansfieldowl, I feel for you! My lovely purple and yellow number has Mark Bright on the back. How times change....
Hills wasn't that bad. Chris Carr anyone ?
chris carr??? who the hell??
i remember seeing chris carr play in a pre season at york about three years ago, i was worried!!
ndumbu-nsungu!!! somehow got player of the year!!
matty hamshaw, mark mckeever (the new beckham, last seen @ team bath f.c)
showing my age now; brian cox-denis leman-gary thompson-gary owen- colin (the dustman) walker- the list is endless of numpties to play for us
matty hamshaw were good!!
I wonder how long it is til PIG 4 life comes on and leaves a snide comment?? Im gonna track that nob down and kick ***** out of him. Iv just been lookin at your argument with him mick66
NUMPTY is the word for him ben.
he will be on later spouting pig poop as usual
chill out i said post premiership demise!! hamshaw was good just unlucky with injuries
lets hope this new lad does the business, not everone fails at hillsborough, but most do haha
ndumbu-nsungu was half decent, so was hamshaw, chris carr was a skin head defender from newcastle hu was w4nk if im not mistaken :) brad jones for goalkeeper he was ****,
i would go adamson (although tidman pushes him all the way), a back four of gilbert, barry-murphy, bes and westwood (dean smith and branston on bench) steve adams, solvedt (always thought he was *****e), armstrong and graham in the midfield with kim olsen and gilles de bilde up front. leon clark and paul smith on bench also. Got Mclaren on the back of my old yellow away shirt
Gerald Sibon for me, first year we were down, he could have one or two half decent games and the rest were shocking. Couldn't believe my eyes when i saw him on TV a few years later playing for PSV against Arsenal in the champions league.
Well, I had Brighty on my short for a good reason - I had a psychic connection with him. I knew without listening to commentary or watching teletext during 1994. Spoooky or what!?
wat bout larry may
Surely Wim Jonk should be in there just for the hideous amount of money we paid for him to sit on the bench. I think we're being a bit harsh on some players. In league 1, all the players were crap but they were good for the league.

Biggest waste of space left back for me was Andy Hinchcliffe - 3m and around 20 appearances. I really hope Francis Jeffers doesnt fall into this category, I remember Emerson Thome signing on a free and looking solid for a season.
What about Darko Kovacevic? he was poo n if my memory serves me correctly we let him go after half a season, n his next transfer was 12 million 2 juventus or sumet want it? we neva seem to get best out of players.
Showing my age but Colin West was the worst centre foward i've seen in Blue &White, Lee Bristoe wasn't much good either
tommy craig
Worst manager has to be Peter Eustase, not sure whether he won a game in charge
tommy craig
Orlando Trustfull, Brad Jones, Scott Oakes and I was never a fan of Richie Humphreys.
and Richie Partridge in a pear tree?
tommy craig
wasn't the original post about a post-prem 11? that'd sadly rule out legends such as jonk, briscoe and my personal favourite 'slow' jim magilton
Get yourselves on the forum guys and galls, much easier to put your thoughts across there!
i wont have a bad word said about ekoku, he'd still do more of a job now than clarke would.
Think i started a good'un here!!! GK: Adamson DR. Hendon DC: Westwood DC: Maddix DL: Beswetherick MR: Proudlock MC: steve adams MC: McClaren ML: Paul Smith Kim Olsen & Showumni up front Manager: Chris Turner
Playing long ball......
Jermaine Johnson must be in line for a recall on Saturday, he ran all over Stoke at the Britannia- Small to be dropped? Midfield of Johnson, Kavanagh, McAllister and Songo'o looks probable...getting fed up with Kavanagh's passing and inability to clear the first man at corners- should Bolder get a start.... Come on Wednesday!
wot about robbie stockdale for right back (or was he in the prem) i remember him being **** tho, i think the worst thing bout kim olsen was we got rid of grant holt for him n holt is a farely decent player for forest nowadays
stockdale was an embarrassment, to pro football, love reading the posts, brings back some cringeworthy moments, but what about our ability to invest in players who inherit long term injuries, hinchliffe, jeffers, anymore??
I'd have Samll and Songoo in for JJ any day. Also would love Bolder to get a shout ahead of Kav. Sahar and the new boy up front anyone?
Hi all the worst player has to be David Graham he was bob
yeh david graham was toilet and so was haslam
Although not in the country at the time, didn't Nigel Clough play one game for us in the season we went down? Heard he was total toss
All quality players these were what have being mentioned, would have them all back any day!!
will it ever happen
