Laws' Relief At Sky Blues Point
Wednesday boss Brian Laws breathed a huge sigh of relief at Richard Wood's late, but deserved, leveller against Coventry City, and admitted it was an emotional night.
The Owls boss was staring a defeat against their relegation rivals in the face before his skipper popped up to bag a late equaliser against Chris Coleman's in-form charges.
But Laws was left relieved at bagging a point which takes Wednesday out of the bottom three and above Southampton and Barnsley with a better goal difference and still a game in hand on some teams around them.
'The players kept going, they didn't collapse and they showed the kind of commitment we need between now and the end of the season,' Laws told the official SWFC website.
'At least that saving point has taken us out of the bottom three, it was one of our games in hand and we took a point from it and we need to get something out of the next one.
'Psychologically it is a great boost for us and it is a real downer for the teams we have just overtaken because we have a good goal difference, which may count as an extra point come the end of the season.
'Now we have lost just one game in the last ten, we are on the way up and other teams are on the way down so I am happy to let another team have the pressure of being in the bottom three.'
