Owls Escape Points Deduction

Wednesday have today escaped any possible points deduction by the Football Association (FA) for including too many loan players in their squad for the clash with Stoke City.

There were fears that the Owls could have been slapped with a points decution for including a loan player too many in their squad for the 1-1 clash with Stoke City last month.

But the FA have instead decided against a points deduction, opting to stick with the precedent set when Leeds United came under a similar breaking of the rules, and fining the Owls 2,000.

Graham Kavanagh, Enoch Showunmi, Adam Bolder, Franck Songo'o, Ben Sahar and Bartosz Slusarski were all included in the squad - but only four actually took to the field during the clash with the then table-toppers.

The FA is set to inform all of its member clubs and make the decision public before the weekend matches.

And Wednesday won't be making the same mistake again this season, with only five loan players on their books after striker Enoch Showunmi ended his unsuccessful loan stint at S6 by returning to Bristol City.

Right decision by the FA for once. 2k sounds right but could have been a lot more!
will it ever happen
Yeah, sensible decision FA... for a change!
if we stay up i wonder if the team who goes down will fight a losing battle to get us points deducted like the pigs did against west ham!! that was funny, lost their premiership status n a whole lot of cash.... stupid pigs!!!
sounds like the going rate so lets do it again
wats to be jealous of?? as the song goes... #i'd rather be a packi than a blade# ever so jealous!!!!
home from school already pigforlife? crikey you lot finish early these days
If Barnsley got a 2k fine for it and you got relegated, would you not have any problems at all that they hadn't had points deducted? Not just saying it because of the West Ham lot last year (which we were clinging on to for too long) but just because it's all well and good being on the receiving end, but what if another team suffers because you broke the rules? If it was us i'd be saying the same, but in reality it's quite a let off.
not all 6 players played though shepsblade, so the result wasnt influenced by the rule break
plus leeds did the same thing in 06 n got fined 1k so we've actually been hard done by!! tevez is still a legend!!!
jealous what of you finishing play group tol monday pigforlife. TEVEZ IS A HERO
fair point shepsblade (apart from the let off remark reckon its set by the precedent at leeds and they didnt all play so the game wasnt affected) gotta say im made up been wondering about this for far to long, really dont understand how the FA can drag there feet over something like this, surely they could have reached a decision before now. at least they came to the right one.
It stinks of pig's muck on this site...I wonder why? you really are the scum of the earth.
well stay off it SHARP PIGGY THEN it wont smell.
christ do they breed idiots at piggy lane..we get rid of one mindless ***** talking crap all the time ,then another one pops up..bluntblade go and talk to that other *****er on your site pigforlife you should get on like an house on fire!
you've probably just soiled yourself again bluntblades
thats the trouble worksop they carnt get on there always fighting amongst them selfs (seen that somewhere before havent we)
I reckon they are all so insecure, a spot of therapy wouldn't go amiss, i'd be ashamed to be seen on the pig site spouting off like they do on ours, go home to bramall pigsty and frollick amongst yourselves you lonely bunch of muppets.
4 points out of 6, thankyou!
should have been 6 but as usual you *****ed it up. ha ha ha 94 years sounds good.
Keep looking up at us piggy's, are you getting neck ache? 94 years you filthy bunch. 2-0 and you *****ed it up.
haha, come back when you've won more trophies than us sharppig
Mickey mouse trophy, whoopey do. Living off the past as always, your a shabby club with a shabby ground with shabby fans. A bunch of scabs having to loan players to survive. How sad. You cheapskates. I hope you go bankcrupt, football would be better off without crap clubs like yours. Cheating against Stoke.
That's just one of the trophies that we've won bluntpig, guess you're calling it the mickey mouse cup 'cos you lot have never won it! Aww bless! I guess winning the league is a mickey mouse trophy aswell 'cos you've only won that once!... aww, like i said, come back when you've won more than us
HaHa dont make me laugh bluntpig! What future have you got to look forward to? More trophy-less seasons??
