Owls' Relegation Round-Up

Owls' Relegation Round-Up

Wednesday will be wanting to keep their fate in their own hands with three points from Blackpool today, but a little help from elsewhere would't go amiss either.

Leicester City remain the third and final team in the Championship bottom three, while the Owls' also leapfrogged Coventry City on goal difference following their 1-1 draw with Plymouth Argyle on Monday night.

But Wednesday fans could well be left in limbo with Ian Holloway's Foxes side making the trip for a 'relegation six pointer' to Oakwell to face Barnsley - who are also in relegation trouble following their defeat to Hull City in midweek.

Barnsley could well be safe should they defeat the Foxes, while a win for Wednesday could potentially put the Owls four points ahead of the Foxes going in to the final two matches of the season - which includes a trip to the Walkers Stadium.

Coventry City face the easiest tie on paper, a trip to already-relegated Colchester City giving the Sky Blues the chance of a vital victory, although Chris Coleman's teams often struggle to perform away from home for one reason or another.

Owls fans will certainly be looking for a U's win in that one.

Southampton also sit just a point above Wednesday going in to this weekend's games, adn face Burnely at St Mary's, while Norwich City may not yet be safe with 52 points as they face a tough clash at home to West Brom. Two away wins will do nicely there.

The possibilities are endless for the Championship matches at the bottom this weekend, but one thing's for sure - an Owls win will do Brian Laws' men the world of good going in to the final two matches of the campaign.

Awful just Awful, dont know what else I can say just feel so deflated. Just think that at this point of the seaon theres too many players (loans) who know that win or lose they are safe in the mind that they back at their respectable clubs at end of season and they can leave all this sh#*t behind Songo biggest example of this today !!! If we go down this year we can only blame ourselves we had the chances to get outa this mess and we made a hash of them. Awful !!
