Owls Legend Hirst Goes Snooker Loopy

Owls goalscoring legend David Hirst will go head-to-head with former Blades striker David Holdsworth on the snooker table next week in a mixed doubles match with snooker legends Jimmy White and Alex Higgins.

Arguably two of snooker's biggest ever names will be at the Octagon Centre in Sheffield, with Jimmy 'The Whirlwind' White and Alex 'The Hurricane' Higgins commencing a nationwide tour of exhibitions frames following the 888.com Snooker World Championships.

And there'll be further excitement for Sheffield snooker fans, with Wednesday legend David Hirst and former Blades' striker David Holdsworth taking to the table with one or two mixed doubles matches against the snooker duo.

The event starts at 6.30pm next Thursday, May 8, at the Octagon Centre, University of Sheffield, and tickets are priced at £20 for a full evening's entertainment, with the event scheduled to finish at 11pm.

Anyone interested in tickets for the event should call 0114 222 8777, or for VIP tickets for the event should call 07974 905147.
