Help Sponsor Tommy - Win His Shirt!

Vital Sheffield Wednesday enjoyed a superb first year sponsoring fans' favourite Tommy Spurr - and we're looking to continue our sponsorship in to 2008-09, but we can't do it without you!

Vital was grateful to its superb readership and close-knit community last year to help fund our debut sponsorship of Tommy's home shirt, with members pledging various amounts to help with the costs, and one lucky member enjoying going to meet Tommy and the rest of the team as a result of our sponsorship.

We're looking to repeat that this year, and we're asking you, the reader, to help out by donating what you can to help us out in sponsoring Tommy - and we've got his shirt that he wore throughout the 2007-08 campaign on hand to one lucky person who donates.

We're looking for minimum donations of just £5 to help out with costs of £230+ VAT, and all people who donate will be put in the hat to win Tommy's very own shirt from last season that was sent to us as part of the sponsorship deal from the club. Of course, the more the merrier (we struggled to reach last year's target).

Not only that, all members and readers who donate will also be put in to the hat for two complimentary tickets for an Owls game next season, and to go behind the scenes and meet Tommy and the rest of the Wednesday squad, and to also get your picture taken with him.

The sponsorship is a great way to help Vital Sheffield Wednesday grow, with advertising in the programme on a weekly basis, and also gives you, the member, the chance to say you're sponsoring Tommy this season.

We have until Friday, June 13 to renew, so we're encouraging members and readers to donate sooner rather than later, and we'll be making the draw for the shirt at the end of the month.

It's a fantastic opportunity for you to get involved with the club and say you're helping out, as well as being able to sponsor one of the Owls' most exciting prospects in recent years.

The easiest way to donate is to do so via paypal to e-mail address: nicholasrigg@gmail.com.

Of course other payment methods are also accepted, if you're wanting to pay by cash or cheque, contact Vital members 'nickswfc' or 'Auckland Owl' on the Vital forum, or e-mail sheffwed@vitalfootball.co.uk where you can get all the details you need.

It's the only time of the season we ask you to dig in to your pockets, and it's for a great cause, and there could also be Tommy's 07-08 shirt in it for you, or two complimentary tickets to an Owls match of your choice, and to have your picture taken on a behind-the-scenes tour on matchday with Tommy himself and the rest of the Wednesday squad.

Many thanks in advance - your generosity is greatly appreciated - and for any questions don't fail to get in touch at sheffwed@vitalfootball.co.uk.

PAYMENT DETAILS:

paypal: nicholasrigg@gmail.com

cheque/cash/postal order: all accepted, contact sheffwed@vitalfootball.co.uk, or 'nickswfc' or 'Auckland Owl' on the forum.

THANKS - AND UP THE OWLS!

BBC report today - "Sheffield Wednesday manager Brian Laws has said he needs to sell Leon Clarke and Kenny Lunt before he can bring in any new players. Laws told BBC Radio Sheffield: "If Leon or Kenny decide to move on then there will be money available." Meaning that IF we sell Clarke and Lunt there will be about......£250k for transfer funds. Oh dear oh dear.
