Tuesday For Wednesday

Wednesday's Carling Cup first round clash with local rivals Rotherham United at Hillsborough has been penned in for Tuesday, August 12.

The Owls were drawn against their neighbours in the first round draw last week and Owls fans will be keen for a repeat of last season when Wednesday ran out comfortable winners against the Millers in the same competition.

The clash will kick-off at 7.45pm and will follow hot-on-the-heels of the Owls' first Championship game of the season against Burnley when the new season kicks-off the Saturday before.

Prices have yet to be decided for the clash, with both Wednesday and Rotherham currently in discussions about the best pricing structure for the clash, although reduced priced tickets are expected to be announced.
