Owls Fans Are Number One!
Of course, we all knew it all along, but now it's official - Wednesday fans were number one for most travelling supporters in the Championship last season.
No matter how bad we are, which lets face it, was a fair few instances last season, Owls fans always follow their team, and last season was no exception with an average of almost 2,000 fans travelling up and down the country to watch the blue and white wizards.
The figure of 1,963 is the highest in the Championship, despite a poor season which finished with a narrow escape from relegation, above nearest rivals West Brom and Sheffield United.

Sheff Utd have a much greater budget, with, I have to say quite honestly, a better squad. They have parachute payments here and there, and nthey had arguably the most prolific goalscorer in the division last season.... But could they sink the Owls... Could they F*** !!! The money always goes to the big clubs and they get bigger while the lower teams get poorer. Ya never see money coming to Local teams, that includes, Sheff Wed, Sheff U, Barnsley, Rotherham, Chesterfield, Donny. No wonder we all struddle really !!

United's away support is artificial. It is boosted by Wednesday giving them 7,000 tickets. What other club gives the opposition that many tickets. We should give them 2,000 like they give us.
Their home figures are artificial too, 18,000 season tickets, and the club complain about having to balance the books. Could this be because 7,000 of these season tickets are sold to kids at £10 each.

SharpBlades I think you missed my point. We out performed you with no money. Where your club is playing to its full potential with gargantuan funding compared to ours, we are just waiting in the wings for the right person to light our fire. All we need is a little financial stability and we'll rekindle the glory days of old and put the red and white side of Sheffield back where it belongs... Below us. You've got to take into account dazza71 that there's alot of small grounds that only have the capacity to hold a small number of away fans: Blackpool, Colchester, Sheff Utd etc.
