Ask Questions To Chris Waddle

Arguably England's foremost mulleteer, Chris Waddle wasn't a bad player either. A wing wizard for Newcastle, Spurs, Marseille and Sheffield Wednesday - with less memorable exploits at Falkirk, Bradford, Sunderland, Burnley, Torquay and, er, Worksop Town - the 66-cap former England star has since gone on to forge a career as one of the country's most respected and insightful pundits on BBC Radio Five Live.

Now he's taking those considerable analytical talents across to Setanta Sports to mark the start of their coverage of England's 2010 World Cup qualifiers. Better still, he will be talking questions from the readers of FourFourTwo magazine next week.

So you have anything you'd like to ask The Waddler, please send questions to one-on-one@haymarket.com as soon as possible. And don't forget to include your name.. oh, and tell them Vital Football sent you!

My question would be: How did it feel to score that screamer against the pigs at Wembley?
BedfordOwl
still living in the past like all wendy fans. my question would be how did you feel to miss a penalty that knocked england out of the world cup you long haired freak? and how do you feel when people in the streets call you porky pig?? ha ha
bladesforlife1889
hey BFL, u can call him any name under the sun but it won't change the fact he was better than any player ever to play for you guys.
Norman
Showing your true colours again BFL.

what arnt i entittled to my own opinion radon barrier?? if you are going to post threads like this then what do you expect. ha ha come on!!
bladesforlife1889
Yeah but there's a difference between having an opinion, and pure immature mickey taking bfl, i dont think you'd take too kindly to wednesday fans going on your site and making stupid immature comments about your past great players, like Tony Currie and..... err
johnnywalker69
BFL - you're basing your opinion on a missed penalty? Let me enlighten you: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ltj55L5Gh_0 You reckon Alan Cork could do that? I think not.

A Chris Waddle Q&A posted on a wednesday website is not unreasonable. You should have the dignity to think ' I'll not comment on this one'. When i was a lad my dad (who is a Blade)took me to watch United all the time - i even say them play against George Best & Fulham. Tony Currie was a great player but i think Alan Woodward was better. Doesn't matter he was wearing a streaky bacon shirt he was a top player Woodward (or Grecian 2000) as he used to be called because of his hair. Unlike Waddle I have never missed a penalty in a World Cup Semi Final because i never played in one. I'm guessing you haven't too. The best I managed was the Acorn Academicals.

wednesday were brill with waddle, and waddle loved wednesday, trust him to score the best free kick ever scored against utd by wednesday, on the biggest footballing day in the history of sheffield, FA cup all sheffield semi at wembley. that was the hardest match i have ever watched, felt like being sick on my shoes with nerves, but what a feeling in extra time, 2-1 nice one waddle and brighty, 2-1 forever.

The best players in the world miss penalties at international level, unfortunately you Pigs have never had any players in the last 20 years to play for your country, oh sorry i think Brian Deane got a run out once!

There won't be many more like Waddle, because all the emphasis now is on stamina & fitness. Not knocking the lads fitness but there aren't enough players with the natural skill of someone like him coming through now.
shepsblade
waddle was nearly as good as our franz carr!!
bladesforlife1889

johnnywalker69
