Wednesday Week - 05/03/06

27/02/06: The week began with Wednesday fans calling for winger Richie Partridge to be given a go in the Owls side in light of the recent run of poor results. 27/02/06: Follwing the injury crisis at Hillsborough which saw Paul Sturrock take only 11 senior first team players to Southampton, chairman Dave Allen announced that he would personally fund any loan deals to help the club in the battle against relegation. Click Here

28/02/06: ...And the Owls' injury crisis was to worsen during the week after learning that young striker Barry Corr was to miss the rest of the season through injury. 04/03/06: Wednesday's week ended on a low note as they crashed to a fourth successive defeat at Ninian Park. A Cameron Jerome strike in the 19th minute was enough for Cardiff to secure a 1-0 victory over the Owls, and see the gap between safety and relegation shortened to just two points. Click Here
