Through all the talk of the takeover happening, to it not happening, we can, at last, put all that to one side for 90 minutes at least come 3pm Saturday - and I can't wait!
I don't know about you, but this pre-season has been more like one big business meeting rather than the usual rumours linking us with players left, right and centre.
And I never thought I'd say this, but I'd take rumours linking us with every Tom, Dick and Harry anytime next summer rather than the boring, albeit important, drone of takeover talk at S6.
Of course, it's vital, huge, massive that we have changes at the top, start a fresh, and pretty much re-invent the club to avoid a repeat of last season and to help take the club on a journey back to the promised land.
I've been taking note of the progression of the takeover from the word go, but there have been so many false dawns, be it from basic rumour to fact to message board talk that my head has all-but had enough of it - and I can't wait for 3pm on Saturday.
We may have spent a grand total of nothing on bringing new players to Hillsborough this season, signing just James O'Connor on a free from Burnley and youngster Jimmy Smith on loan from Chelsea, but despite our prospects not looking too great as I write, I just want the football to start.
We can forget all about the off-the-field goings off for 90 minutes at least on Saturday and just sing our hearts for the eleven men in blue and white on that Hillsborough pitch on Saturday, and hopefully, hopefully, leave in good spirits with our first three points of the season.
It won't be easy, and with all respect to Burnley, it's not exactly the most thrilling match to look forward to.
But it's back to the football, the reason why we have something to look forward to other than shopping with the missus on a Satirday afternoon, the reason you're reading this article and the reason you visit this website.
No doubt Radio Sheffield's 'Praise or Grumble' will be full of Owls fans doing just that come 5pm on Saturday, and most likely that will be aimed at the takeover, depsite whether we win, lose or draw on Saturday.
But those 90 minutes come 3pm on Saturday are filling me with excitement as the hours pass...COME ON YOU BLUE AND WHITE WIZARDS!
