Owls File Argyle Complaint

Owls File Argyle Complaint

Wednesday have issued a complaint to the Football League regarding an official approach from Plymouth Argyle for defender Peter Gilbert.

As reported on our sister site, Vital Plymouth Argyle yesterday, the Owls have gone to the Football League regarding the matter, which has only come to light following the opening day 4-1 victory over Burnley on Saturday.

And Owls boss Brian Laws has revealed that although he's disappointed with the approach, he'll not let it get in the way of his preparations for forthcoming matches.

'Whilst I knew about this and was very disappointed to hear about it I was not going to allow anything to detract from our preparations for the start of the new Championship season,' Laws told the official SWFC website.

'Thankfully this has not detracted from our build-up to the new season but we will deal with the matters accordingly.'
