Bart Linked With Owls Return

Bart Linked With Owls Return

Former Wednesday loanee Bartosz Slusarski has been linked with a return to Hillsborough in light of the current striker crisis at the club.

Media reports on Sunday were linking the West Brom striker with a loan move back to Hillsborough, with the Polish striker well down the pecking order at West Brom and Owls boss Brian Laws looking to bolster his attack.

Akpo Sodje has already fallen victim to injury in the opening game of the season, missing up to two months of the season, while Marcus Tudgay is sidelined for two weeks, Francis Jeffers has yet to make his full return from injury, and Leon Clarke has failed to impress.

And although Wednesday have bagged seven goals in their opening three matches of the new season, Laws could well return to the Owls former loan man to offer extra options in attack.

The Polish frontman arrived at S6 on loan last season to help Wednesday to survive in the Championship during his three starts and four substitute appearances in the blue and white stripes, bagging a crucial goal at Leicester City in the Owls' final away match of the season.

i'm afraid mr laws needs to cut his losses with leon clarke and get him off the books asap, the bart man can do a job and would be a great signing, i'm just surprised he hasn't been snapped up already

but who's gonna foot the bill of a loan signing? current directors arent are they with the possibilty of the takeover, sheard isnt cos he isnt in control (starting to doubt he ever will be after what i heard on praise or grumble). we cannot rely on clarke he has proved himself inept every chance he's got. plus i cant beleive we have another 2 injuries, hinds admitadly is unavoidable but esajas?! its beyond a joke there has to be something wrong in our player preperation, 3 players have scored for us and they are all out injured. its either poor player preperation or a black magic curse

the esajas muscle strain may be the result of 120 minutes against rotherham and then playing again on saturday, ie. not enough recovery time, understandable considering how many 1st team games he's been sat on the bench, however he is a professional sportsman and should be young enough to handle the strains, maybe this is why he hasn't featured as often??

What happened with Sheard on Praise or Grumble? Did he come on in the end?

did he ***** yankeeowl! made a statement threw andy giddings which essentially said "dont hold your breath". he mentioned further meetings midweek this week which will probably lead onto more meetings next week.... bit gutting really, but it may be a smokescreen and he may be playing it safe who knows

Difficult to say eh Mansfield? At least he's showing up at games. That tells us he's not hiding from the team/fans and is still interested. I think he really wants to see this happen. Hard to say what will come from what his words though, since he's just the voice of those with the real £££. Just hope its all resolved (either way) before the close of the window at the end of the month!

Bart looked good last season. Clark just aint good enough at championship level. He's got pace and power, but dont know how to use it. He does'nt know where to put himself, and when he is in the right place he dont know what to do? Burton cant cut it on his own, he needs someone to lay off to. He missed 2 great chances on sat, which had a big impact on the game, we were pretty good, missed our chances and collapsed?. Its all about the strikers, Sodge showed that against Blunts and Burnley.
