Jeffers And Small Set For Return

Francis Jeffers and Wade Small could be set to return from injury for the Owls in their friendly clash with Port Vale at Hillsborough tonight.

The duo have yet to feature in the blue and white stripes this season after suffering set-backs with their return from injury, but both will be hoping to up their fitness in tonight's match.

And Wednesday boss Brian Laws will be keeping everything crossed that the pair come through the fixture unscathed should they feature, with both like new signings for the club this season.

But the Owls boss will be taking extra care with Jeffers, who has already suffered numerous set-backs with injury since arriving at Hillsborough from Blackburn Rovers last summer.

The reserve match with Port Vale kicks-off at Hillsborough at 7pm tonight.

wrap Franny in cotton wool, bubble wrap, marshmallows, scatter cushions, really bouncy springs, grandma's softest pillows, knee/shin/elbow pads, blown up whoppee-cushions, and a magic forcefield. Only then will he be allowed on the pitch.
