Owls Sign Carson & Bischoff

Wednesday have today completed the loan signings of Liverpool 'keeper Scott Carson and Manchester City defender Mikkel Bischoff.

Paul Sturrock has been desperate to add players to his already depleted squad and got his wish today by signing the Premiership duo just before the deadline for tommorow's clash with QPR at Hillsborough.

Both players have arrived on initial one-month contracts which can be extended if both clubs agree.

Liverpool's 20-year-old stopper Carson has been tipped as a future England player after signing for the reds for 750,000 from Leeds.

Meanwhile Danish defender Bischoff arrives at Hillsborough after having limited chances at City, and hopes to boost the Owls defence after seeing Richard Wood out for the next 2-3 weeks.

wow we've signed someone! and someone decent too! I hope we can get carson until the end of the season, would be great. still no midfielder though who we need most! come on sturrock!

carson is an excellent goalie and also the boy bischoff can get forward and score goals, but if he could get a centre midfielder and a striker then that would top it. i though that agbonlahor could be an option again.

Definately need a midfield man but not so sure we need a striker we have a good selection at the moment, just the midfield aren't providing enough
