'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Wednesday brushed aside by Kop Youngsters

It was always going to be a tough test for the Under 18s against strong opposition in Liverpool but there were some positives to be taken out of the defeat.

Goals from James Ellison, Lauri Dalla Valle and Marvin Pourie gave Liverpool`s team full of foreign starlets a comfortable win. However, first years James Cottingham and Nathan Modest got a run out and Jamie Hadfield stood out as a strong performer, as Wednesday`s production line of defenders shows no signs of stopping.

Next up for the youngsters is Sunderland on Saturday. Kick off is at 12 at Middlewood Road.
