Young Owls nudged out by Black Cats

Sheffield Wednesday`s Under 18s fell to another defeat to Premiership opposition at Middlewood Road.

Sunderland`s youngsters took all three points back to the North East, following a narrow 2-1 win.

Wednesday`s goal was scored by first year Nathan Modest. The youngsters shouldn`t be too down hearted about the fourth defeat in a row though: they are coming up against better funded academies and in some cases foreign wonder kids (albeit sometimes over aged.)

Next up for the Owls is the short trip to Shirecliffe to face the Blades youngsters. Kick off is at 12 o`clock, next Saturday.
