Manchester United Target Grant?

Wednesday goalkeeper Lee Grant has undoubtedly put in some top-drawer performances between the sticks this season, but could he really be the interest of Manchester United?

Various weekend newspapers linked the Owls' former England under-21 international with a move to Alex Ferguson's men following his impressive form so far this term.

Scouts from Old Trafford have apparantly been in attendance at recent Wednesday matches to see Brian Laws' number one in action.

And although conceding goals galore on their travels, Grant has been in top form at home, in particular against Sheffield United and Nottingham Forest, where he made a number of match-winning saves.

United boss Alex Ferguson has already snapped up Tomasz Kuszczak from West Brom, a surprise capture, and he could well be looking at Grant as a cheap option for back-up to United's currrent number one Edwin Van Der Sar.

granty is a good shot stopper but thats all..he does not command his area at all and his distribution is rubbish..just hoofs it up the middle all the time..i would take these so called newspaper reports with a pinch of salt..he is not good enough for the premiership.
WORKSOP..OWL
We all want him at S6 for a long time and I don't believe he's going anywhere, but we all have to face reality. With the current financial situation, if Man U or anyone else waved silly money in the club's face he would go. It would take a hell of a big sum though......

With Amos, Foster and Kuzczak all looking for first team spots, this seems to be just mere speculation.
