Four Match Ban For Chelsea Loanee

Wednesday's Chelsea loanee Jimmy Smith will face a four-game ban after an appeal against his sending off in the defeat at Birmingham City failed today.

The young midfielder was already facing a three-match suspension for his dismissal at the weekend, but the FA have added another game to his suspension after the appeal was 'deemed to have no prospect of success.'

Smith will now be unavailable for tonight's home clash against Plymouth Argyle and will miss the forthcoming matches against Crystal Palace, Doncatser Rovers and Derby County.

The 21-year-old has made just three starts after struggling to break in to the Wednesday side following his six-month loan switch from Stamford Bridge in the pre-season.

And the recent set-back will make it even more difficult for Smith to nail down a regular first team spot at Hillsborough befoe he returns to the Premier League side.

Absolutely ridiculous. He didn't even touch the player

Yep, he's awful too.

An absurd decision. He hasn't impressed admittedly, but think he deserves more of a chance.
