Wednesday Trio Ready For Ram-Raid

The trip to Pride Park always has some extra significance for three Wednesday players, and it'll be no different come 3pm this Saturday.

Former Rams Lee Grant, Marcus Tudgay and Deon Burton are all set to be part of Brian Laws' squad to make the short trip to Derbyshire in the Championship this weekend.

The trio all still live in the Derby area and commute to Middlewood Road together - and they'll be keen to get one over on their former employers.

'I always look forward to this game and so do my family; it's a day out for them,' Tudgay told the Sheffield Star.

He added: 'Some of my family are Derby fans, still, and I get a bit of stick from some of my friends who are Derby fans.

'I'll be doing my best and hopefully helping us to get a win.'

Lee Grant told the Derby Evening Telegraph: 'There's lots of people I'll look forward to seeing but, in terms of the game, I'll be preparing exactly as I do for any other game.'

He continued: 'We need to be solid first and foremost and that's not something we've done too frequently this season.

'We've shown that we can do it - at Swansea and Palace (both 1-1 draws), for example - so there's no problem on that front.

'Individually, we're good enough to go to any stadium and put on a good show. We just need to do it more often.'

Grant and Tudgay are both set to start against their former club - with both expected to get good receptions, though Deon Burton could have to settle for a place on the bench - super-sub anyone?

If DB is on the bench, I don't think he'll turn into a super sub for us. Then again, his goal drought has to end some time and I would love it to be tomorrow!!
