Laws Set For Wednesday Talks

Wednesday boss Brian Laws has revealed he's set to sit down and talk about extending his contract at Hillsborough next week.

Laws has been linked with a move to his former club Nottingham Forest, with their manager Colin Calderwood rumoured to be not far from the sack if Forest's current string of results continue.

But the Wednesday boss has played down talk of a return to the City Ground, and is keen to start talks with the Wednesday board over a new deal at S6.

'We'll be having talks,' Laws told the Sheffield Star.

'I could have had talks last week but I didn't want to have them while we had these important games coming up. I didn't want our preparations for these last couple of games to be affected. It's in its early stages at the moment.'

Laws could well be looking at a new deal this week and could even have it signed, sealed and delivered in time for the home clash with Norwich City at the weekend - a welcome boost for Owls fans.

Hopefully he can do what you do on Football Manager, and choose some kind of budget as part of the contract. obviously we don't have much to play with but the board know they must keep BL, so surely he'll have some influence as to spending in January?

im better than BL we're 5th at half way point of season

then again a good run over next 4 win-able games we could be there or thereabouts

If he does sign a new contract it will be one for 2/3 years?
will it ever happen
Great to see us finally getting some stability in the club. Hopefully the board can get him some money to play with in the january sales.
