Burton Out, Slusarski In?

Wednesday striker Deon Burton looks set for a move away from Hillsborough to Charlton Athletic, while West Brom striker Bartosz Slusarski is set for a return to S6 on loan.

At today's press conference, which revealed Brian Laws had signed a new contract at the club until 2011, it was also revealed that Laws expects Burton to move to The Valley, with Slusarski arriving back at the club on loan.

It's being reported that the former Derby striker, who scored his first goal of the season for the Owls in the 2-1 win at Blackpool on Tuesday, is currently in talks with the managerless Addicks about a loan move with a view to a permanent signing.

And that deal could pave the way for Slusarki, down the pecking order at West Brom and having already enjoyed a loan spell at Wednesday, to return to the club.

One way or another, Owls fans are set to know for sure before today's 5pm deadline for deals.

Burton is great at leading the line but not exactly prolific at scoring goals. Can't help but think it's like for like but sometimes a change is needed. Good luck Deon, welcome Bart!

Tudders has gone to Charlton as well, didn't you know that bit? It was part of the deal!!
will it ever happen
Is it me or we have a bad history of bringing people back in for a seconce loan spell. Past loanees have been unable to set the same standard hat they did first time around, Come on Slursaski, change the trend for us. Good luck Deon!!
