Hull, Bolton In For Beevers

Bolton Wanderers and Hull City have become the latest Premier League clubs to show an interest in Wednesday's highly-rated defender Mark Beevers, according to media reports.

The centre-back has already had almost every club from the top flight come and watch his progress in the blue and white, with Manchester United and Chelsea said to have sent scouts to watch him.

But now reports in the Sunday papers have revealed both Bolton and Hull City are ready to battle it out with offers worth around £2 million plus extras for the hot prospect in the January transfer window.

Beevers only broke into the Owls team last season but has become one of the first names down on the team sheet alongside captain Richard Wood at the heart of the Wednesday defence.

But Owls fans may not have to fear losing the Barnsley-born product, with The People reporting that Wednesday are in no rush to sell the 19-year-old, and that Beevers could yet pen another new deal to keep him at S6.

lets see whether we get a good offer and take it and then dont give laws any of it? sounds familar dont it
mick66owl
id take 2mil for him!!!
FUTURES BLUE N WHITE
2 million really? I don't want to sell him and don't think we should. He's the type of player to only get better and push this club forward!! Like mick says Brian won't get any of it so what is the point of getting rid of one of our better players!!

£2 Million is nowhere near enough but if it is around the £5million mark i cannot see the club turning it down! I think one of BL's decisions for signing a new contract is that the club did not sell any of it's best players in Jan. We shall see what happens!
will it ever happen
Do you think he'll go?
Gilley21
Cant see him going, with us having him on a long contract it would have to be £4m at least to sell, with 20% sell on clause, and a player coming the other way

will it ever happen - I totally agree with you unless we get somewhere around the 5mill mark then its not worth losing one of the best young talents we've had at the club in years, fingers crossed we can keep the likes of Beevers cos they are the ones we should be building the team around and if we do lose any of them in time then get decent money for them 2mill would be a steal

2mil is a joke we should be looking for at least 6 or even 7 million. Look at what southampton sold bale for and he anit half as good as beevers. Anyhow why should we sell we dont need to alot of people may laugh at this comment but we could mae the playoffs this season.

if the board would guarantee that -say 60%- went into a summer transfer kitty for new players then i'd say sell him for no less than 3mil. But we all know that any money we recieve we won't see again
