Blackpool Managerless For Boxing Day

Blackpool will arrive at Hillsborough for the Boxing Day Championship fixture against Wednesday managerless after boss Simon Grayson departed for Leeds United today.

Grayson has penned a deal to take over from the sacked Gary McAllister at Elland Road today, despite attempts from the Bloomfield Road club to keep their man at the seaside.

The move leaves the Seasiders managerless for the Boxing Day clash at S6, but the decision to leave could see the Blackpool players either demoralised or pumped up to bag three points on Friday.

Wednesdayites will certainly be hoping it's the former as the Owls look to get back on track following a 2-0 defeat at Cardiff City at the weekend.

Knowing our track record, that probably means Blackpool will be fired up and make it more difficult for us.
