Kaven Walker Leaves Owls Post

Kaven Walker Leaves Owls Post

Wednesday chief executive Kaven Walker has left his role at Hillsborough by mutual consent, the club has revealed in a statement today.

Walker, a figure who shared the brunt of many Owls' fans frustrations in recent years, has left S6 with immediate effect with no reason as of yet as to why he departed.

Nick Parker, a current Director at the club, will take on a 'greater day to day running of the club' following Walker's departure.

A statement on the official SWFC website said: 'We would like to express on record our thanks to Mr Walker for his diligent efforts over past years.

It continued: 'The Board would like to make it clear to all fans that this news will have no effect on the club's dealings in the January transfer window. Nor will it adversely impact on the process of delivering new investment to the club.'

Didn't see it coming at all, but let's hope the club means what it says, as far as not affecting the future is concerned.

difficult to call, the club have made an operating profit yet it seems like we have gone backwards, is he solely responsible for the decline? I reckon it all started with the passport id on the season tickets, and steadily gone down hill from there, hope someone with a bit of common sense steps up to the plate

It's what i heard yesterday from a former scout who still has contacts at the club. Not saying if it's true or not but he's usually spot on!
