Blades Give Owls 3,000 Tickets

Tickets for this year's Sheffield derby at Bramall Lane will once again be in huge demand from Owls fans after United gave us a restricted amount of 3,000 tickets for the second time.

In previous seasons Wednesday fans have been given both tiers of the Bramall Lane end of the ground, until last season when United issued Wednesday with just the lower tier of the stand.

The decision saw many Wednesday fans miss out on tickets, prompting many to sit in the home ends, and seeing Blades fans in the top tier launch objects down on the travelling Owls support.

Despite a plea to give Wednesday fans the whole of the Bramall Lane end, United have once again given us the lower tier of the stand, just 3,000 tickets, with new 'safety measures' put in place to avoid a repeat of last season's incidents.

The clash, which takes place on Saturday, Feburay 7, was set to kick-off at 3pm but has been brought forward to 12 noon on police advice.

Ticket details for Owls fans have yet to be announced on the official site.

That's me in the Pigs end then, probably!
welshyowl
if it was down to me i would tell them to shove them where the sun don't shine, unless we get the upper tier, then we can ***** and spit on them for a change.
Paul&Shark
what a farce. i hope the new regime at hillsboro takes note and re-pays them with the same kindness next season and give them bottom of leppings lane only
mick66owl
We fecking want too. Cannot believe they have done this again.....hold on, yes i can. There all w*****s the lot of em!!
will it ever happen
*****1n scum aren't they!! Its whats sheffield derbys are all about, the big away support etc. What a load of *********
benowl
all i will say is it wouldnt happen at hillsboro because now owls fan would p**s on piggyjack if they was on fire
mick66owl
Best way to repay them? Three points, 3,000 tickets didn't do us much harm last season
welshyowl
didn't go to pigsty lane last year but the stories i've heard make me wonder how the police allow this to be repeated, wonder what noises we'll hear from our new boys 'cos surely we can't take this lying down, i'd like to see this challenged in a professional manner, somebody is gonna get hurt and we must try and stop that happening, who do they think they are??
dbblue
Wait for that wenker coming on PFL and see what he has to say on it? Bet you it's a complete load of utter bullox!!! Ban him for life if he comes on talking utter ****e i say!
will it ever happen
yeah thats me in the blunts end..
flinoycore
The other annoying thing is that this opens up the United fans claiming they got more of their own fans at their game than we did, but thats obvious because they've given us less tickets.
flinoycore
They have done us again only givin us 3,000 tickets its *****in stupid. never mind john street here we come. up the owls
oliowl
fact is you carnt sell your own tickets at swillsborough. because your fans base isnt as big as our now!! simple as. You gave us just over 6,000 seats at your crap hole, and there were still 8,000 empty seats. thats why. we can fill our ground thats why you get limited number of tickets. the demand is bigger at BDTBL. hard pill to swallow i knoe piggy, but its true!! ha ha ha
bladesforlife1889
no way are we going to give you the top tear as there are home fans with season tickets up there + we arnt going to give you more tickets as that would be our home supporters losing out. If you could fill your ground exactlly the same thing would happen. Honnestly all your comment are that of squealing piggy syndrome!! SHUT UP MUPPETS!! - you are the poor relations and the sooner you admit it the better you will feel!!
bladesforlife1889
Why do you always talk so loudly before derby-day BFL. After the final whistle we never hear a peep from you. Too busy eating all that humble pie I guess. 3000 doesn't matter, your supporters behaving in the right way for the sty, doesn't matter. Your silence come the final whistle.......priceless! C'mon Wednesday!
robc
PFL, dont forget bumhole lane is smaller than Hillsborough. When you have a premiership ground to fill come back otherwise button it you stupid thick pig. Wednesday is the biggest club is Sheffield and thats not for debate, thats just a fact. Honestly, every blunt fan I speak to is dumb.
owlswfc
message to bladesforlife1889 ye it will b quiet full cus the wednesday fans will b all around the ground and u still wont sell out n wish we cud buy an adult season ticket n get 1 free so ssssssssssshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh n plus u ant beat the mighty owls in 2 seasons ssssssssssssssssshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh bye piggy
oliowl
SINGING DIE DIE PIGGY PIGGY DIE. Bramall Lane has 7-8000 less seats than Hillsborough, so that makes up for those missing at our place. Face it, your a *****ty club who will try any trick in the book to get points off us. The 3,000 there will still be singing louder than your 25,000 when we're stuffing you. whats that??? 1-0 to the owls in october. OOPS! You were a bit quiet then. bladesforlife you vvanker. get back to ur own board.
Stan Owl
shes here with her sows dirvel.
mick66owl
oliowl - r u a dingle, cus tha sounds like 1, bet tha stil has ya wendy's 90's shell suuuuuuit. greeeeeat!!
bladesforlife1889
ha ha love some of those laughable comments - you lot wana take you haed out of the early 90's sand, and relise what a scrubby, skint, poor, terribly run club you are. Did you know that planning permission has been granted to extend the lane to above 40,500?? along with everything else we will soon have the biggest ground too!! swillsborough is falling down - fact!! (nw terrace?
bladesforlife1889
the NW terrace is condemmed at swillsboro, FACT- doesnt meet health and safety requriement and cant be used...plus i remeber blades only getting top tier at leppings lane back in 94..at the end of the day we will sell all our tickets, just like you could in 94 so what the point in giving them to rival teams when you can have your own fans in - doesnt make sense...teams who give more away ticekts are just after the money cos they cant sell out -simple as
gleadlessblade
Smells like they're running scared if you ask me - trying to give us as few tickets as possible so that they can have a chance of out singing us...no chance at all. Out sung, out classed, what more do you want piggies??
SuperOwls
pigforlife - ask anyone not from the Sheffield and they'll generally feel Wednesday are the bigger club than you, FACT. Keep on dreaming though, if it makes you feel better. We should be honoured that you take an interest in our great club
welshyowl
if the nw terrace is unsafe i say give them that next season
mick66owl
blades for life no i am nt a dingle if u r that bigger club that u say u r y r u nt in the premership because u r nt good enough sssssssssshhhhhhhhhhhhh n get bk to your own board or isnt it as good as ours
oliowl
i am a stwerd on the away end n the nw corner is unsafe so i say give them that n only that n watch them piggys rot
oliowl
I don't think there is any problem only getting the bottom tier if they can sell it out. I don't understand all this rubbish about Bramall Lane being some kind of super stadium. All piecemeal grounds like hillsborough, bramall lane, goodison, anfield, villa park etc look and are dated. Thats why the bigger clubs are all getting new grounds - arsenal, liverpool etc. The last time I went to bramall lane - about 2 years ago it looked dated and small. Everytime i go there i forget how small it is - it reminds me a bit of Oakwell. Hillsborough is dated but at least its a decent size.
Radon Barrier
coronation street springs to mind, dodgy cobbles, dodgy terraces with muck and grime everywhere, the main argument is about the treatment of owls fans by the club and the behaviour of the home fans, i say it is far safer to watch a game of football at hillsborough, nobody has listened to the complaints that came after the last game there, vindictive, bitter and twisted!!!!!
dbblue
End of the day the sad piggies gave away so many season tickets to put pork loins on seats that they had to sell/give some for the upper tier of what should be the "away" end. Typical of the tossers at bumhole lane - want it all their own way, but cry like babies when things don't go their way. In a perverse way I would like to see them go up again this season - just so they can come straight back down again and we can all confirm what most of us already know - the blunts are just not good enough for the Prem; never were and never will be.
US Owl
lol us owl - how can you complain you aint been to a game for years!! typical. like i say, its hard being the poor relations so i would expect these kind of comments!! we will hammer you this time around -FACT!!!
bladesforlife1889
one thing is for sure, we won't be facing beattie cos he won't be there, poor relations heh heh, get that wage bill trimmed like a good little boy blackie
dbblue
FACT BFL??? You seem fond of picking holes in other contributors use of English. Maybe you should get out your dictionary and check the definition!!!
dobby1
yepp beattie lined up for a bigger club FULHAM & HULL chasing him
mick66owl
BFL your a dick!
Gilley21
Ban this cretin Keith please, he's starting to pess me off big time now!!
will it ever happen
agreed wieh
mick66owl
ask pig for life who had the biggest crowd by a mile in the championship last season??..guess what it was SWFC v NORWICH 36,000 +..there is only one reason why our ground hasnt sold out for the derby games recently and that was wednesday!s stupid ticketing policy by the idiots who up untill a few days ago were running the club..dont let pig for life wind you up guys..go back to this time last year and he said the same bull5hit then..the bottom line is that sheffield utd consider that letting more of there fans in the ground is a much bigger priority than the safty of the wednesday fans..thats fact..i know because i was there last year with my kids in that bottom tier having 5hit ***** gob coins and bottles raining down on us and i am gobsmacked that a supposed family club has not learned from this and is going to let it happen again..i have allready had to break my kids hearts and tell them that they wiil not be going to the game this year as i will not put my kids health in the hands of mindless thugs!
WORKSOP..OWL
as i said, i hope the new regime have got the bottle to stop this happening again, i would rather we didn't get any tickets at all than have to contend with that kind of abuse, united fans and the clubare an embarrasment to sheffield and football, no other club would get away with this, well said worksop
dbblue
i would just let them have 1000 tickets in the h block. and segregate this properly like other clubs do, this way united would be able to offer more tickets to home surporters and not as many blades would be left out!! the ticket demand is far more greater at BDTBL than at s6 for home sectors!!
bladesforlife1889
thats fine bfl we have no problem with that as long as you muppets carnt throw money, urine on owls fans as is the normality at the lane . its more than how many tickets we get its about safety and common sense. if you have kids do you want them bringing up thinking that is decent behaviour.
mick66owl
YOU PROBABLY do by the sound of your comments
mick66owl
I've emailed the council about this ridiculous situation- surely it contravenes so many safety procedures, last year proved this. Common sense would have the united fans in the top tier moved to somewhere else in the ground. What sort of moronic club would think putting home fans in the top tier of an away end isn't going to lead to grief... UTO
tommyg
tommyg if you put the e-mail address on this site i'm sure a good response would follow
dbblue
arsenal, forest, villa - thats 3 clubs off the cuff that have away fans sat below home surporters + they havnt gone to the safety extreams as we have done either. stop moaning - if the tables were turned you lot would be the main coulprits!! forgot all wendy fans are angels.
bladesforlife1889
yet again you miss the point piggy *****..utd fans dont hate arsenal, forest, villa fans enough to want to throw 5***** ***** coins and bottles on them do they you THICK STUPID ****!!
