Laws Hoping For Imminent Signing

Owls boss Brian Laws is hoping to bring an experienced midfielder in to bolster his squad ahead of the tough trip to Ipswich Town on Saturday.

Laws is desperate to use the January transfer window to strengthen his weak squad in some way, shape or form.

And although no new major investment has been pumped into the club, the additions of Lee Strafford as chairman and Nick Parker as chief executive officer could well enable the Owls boss to bring in a loan signing before the trip to Portman Road.

'I've spoken at length with the chairman and about whether we can make some money available to strengthen the side,' Laws told the Sheffield Star.

'That's something I am now trying to do. The players have been magnificent, they need support with new blood and I am trying to do that quickly.

'What's happened so far has been very encouraging. The board are trying in all directions to help me.'
