Laws Pleased With 'Positive Performance'

Owls boss Brian Laws declared himself pleased with a 'positive performance' which saw his troops pick up a share of the spoils from a tough clash at Ipswich Town.

Steve Watson's second half strike ensured the Owls grabbed a point from Portman Road, and although Laws was pleased with the point, he thought Wednesday could have left with all three.

'On the whole it is a good point from a tough assignment away at Ipswich,' Laws told the official SWFC website.

'But I have to have a tinge of disappointment because we could have taken all three points from the game.

'After Steve Watson's goal, Jermaine Johnson had two good opportunities to make it 2-0, first making the wrong decision on a pass with Michael Gray and then straying offside when he would have gone on to score.'

'It was a positive performance on the whole though, we have come away with ten injuries again and worked hard, passed the ball well and came away with a good point.'

Laws will no doubt be looking to turn the positive performances of late into three points when they welcome rock-bottom Charlton Athletic to Hillsborough on Saturday.
