Owls Close To Charlton Sell-Out

Owls Close To Charlton Sell-Out

Wednesday are set to see their biggest crowd of the season inside Hillsborough for the crunch Championship clash with rock-bottom Charlton Athletic on Saturday.

The welcome cut-price tickets of £10 for adults and £5 concessions has seen the ticket office in overdrive this week, with both the South and North stands close to selling out on Friday afternoon.

With the cut-price tickets also available on the turnstiles, the club have issued a warning to all fans to arrive early to avoid congestion and to go to the Kop for tickets on the day.

Wednesday fans will also be occupying the lower tier of the West Stand thanks to thew new ticket giveaway to schoolchildren around the area, and with the Addicks expected to bring around 1,000 up from London, Wednesday could well see an attendance above the Sheffield derby earlier this season.

Tickets are still on sale from the ticket office until close of play today, with fans advised to turn up early to guarantee their ticket on the turnstile.

If you cant that a derby game is different to a game with Charlton then you really are thick as ***** bfl ... and besides SWFC ( as a forward thinking progressive club now)have ensured the back rows of the lower tier and front rows of the top will be kept empty (something united have been forced into for this years derby following the debacle last year), furthermore we have stewards who actually seem to give a toss about the safety of families with children, unlike at the lane.
