Owls Set To Announce New Ticket Prices

Wednesdayites are set for more good news this week with the club all set to announce new, cheaper, tickets for the remaining home matches at Hillsborough this season.

Owls fans were able to watch Wednesday destroy Charlton Athletic 4-1 with reduced prices of 10 for adults and 5 concessions at the weekend.

And new chairman Lee Strafford revealed that the club would be reducing the matchday prices to watch the Owls following Saturday's encounter with the Addicks, with the new prices set to be announced early this week, and as early as today (Monday).

Strafford is looking to bring the fans back to S6 after crowds dropped worrying low - their lowest for years - before Christmas with a number of incentives and reduced ticket prices.

And season ticket holders are also set to be benefit, with the club also confirming that they'd be subject to offers in light of the ticket price decrease.

The changes are set to be announced in time for the home clash with Birmingham City, televised live on Sky, on Saturday, January 31m kick-off 5.20pm.

Makes great business sense. 18 to sit in the kop - cheap at half the price. Consider Hillsborough packed to the rafters from now on. Up the Owls!

Great...things are at last looking up!! I am a season ticket holder, and not looking to complain but 2 free tickets to a game i already have tickets for is a bit rubbish, i would rather see some extra money knocked off next years season ticket for those who hold one this year!

Agreed, thru&thru, that would be a better option - sounds like they're listening to fans though so suggest it and see what happens.

Happy as i have recently been priced out of going to matches. Two of my close friends are even starting to go because of the price drop and we are all considering season tickets next season. Hopefully this will spur others like myself to go to more matches. Also, I went to charlton match with free tickets with my 2 daughters and wife they all enjoyed it and have expressed an interest in going more often!!! Happy days!!!

Guys, they cant please everyone. The club are working under the restrictions of the previous regime this season. And we have not seen next years season ticket prices yet, which I'm sure will be refreshing. To offer cash back or the like would have crippled the cash flow of the club, and cash off upfront for next year would no doubt hit the summers transfer activity if we do not see the investment that they have been signalling. As a season ticket holder I'm not best pleased, but lets give benefit of doubt as it should be for long term benefit of the club

well aston i would have been more than happy to settle for a bigger discount on next seasons ticket than 2 free tickets if you can get them and 25% off at primark quality club shop

come on mick its all good, fully expect him to announce cut price season tickets for current season ticket holders when next years season ticket prices are announced, think as aston said they've done what they can this season. We've got our Wednesday back

Mick, fully expect something to happen for existing holders next season, but they would be be daft to announce something they may have to back track on in current economic climate. Think good things are happening at last

to say i'm disappointed is an understatement, as a season ticket holder, today news is not the best news i've heard in a long time, maybe for non season ticket holders it is, i've been paying my money up front for long enough, only to be told this morning that we are getting 2 free ticket if we can get them, and 25% off at the shop, well its very rare i spend anything at the shop now the kids have grown up,and two free ticket for someone else well thankyou very much, so exactly what is it i'm getting.

As a season ticket holder I'm quite pleased to be honest. I didn't expect "cash back" as I assume my 500 has already been been "allocated". It's actually a cute bit of business by the new regime. The free tickets could lure in potential new fans or get others to return and the discount in the club shop encourages more spending. I often take friends along to matches, so the free tickets are welcome and worth up to around 50 so not to be sniffed at. I'll probably buy the new home shirt in the summer too, so saving a tenner or more on that. Not bad really. Like you say, hopefully we'll also get some preferential offer on renewing next season.

Good to see the board are making all the right moves. Lets see what happens to next seasons prices shall we. I think ST holders will be very happy.
