Bischoff Raring To Face Former Club

Owls loanee Mikkel Bischoff is looking forward to returning to former club Wolves this weekend, but hopes the Owls come away with all three points.

The Danish defender spent two loan spells at the Molineux club last season as they looked to bounce straight back to the Premiership at the first attempt.

He could have been playing against the Owls tomorrow, but Wanderers turned down the opportunity to make Bischoff's stay in the Midlands permanent.

Bischoff told the Birmingham Mail: 'I was just getting into my stride during that first spell and was having a good run of games having built up a good partnership with Joleon,' adds Bischoff, out of contract at City at the end of the season. Then I got injured, which was a difficult time for me, but when I came back to Wolves it was all different.'

'Joleon and Jody Craddock had started to play very well together as a pair and it was always going to be hard for me to break that up.'

The Manchester City defender wants to see Wolves playing Premiership football at Molineux next season, but hopes that they're progression to the top flight starts after Saturday's encounter with the Owls.

He continued: 'I know Wolves are gunning for the play-offs - and after Saturday I really hope they get there - but for one day only I hope we put a dent in their promotion hopes. We need the points ourselves to try and get away from trouble at the other end of the table.'

Bischoff spent two and a half months in two seperate spells with Wolves, notching up nine appearances in total.

He's made an impressive start to his Wednesday career having been part of the 1-1 draw with QPR and last week's impressive 2-0 victory over high-flying Preston North End at Hillsborough. Let's hope his unbeaten record continues on Saturday.
