Owls Bag Permanent Gray Deal

Wednesday have secured the permanent signing of former Sunderland winger Michael Gray until the end of the season.

Gray had initially been on an emergency one-month loan deal from Championship rivals Wolves, but the deal has since been made permanent before the close of the January transfer window.

Owls boss Brian Laws told the official SWFC website: 'I am really pleased that we have been able to secure the services of Michael on a permanent contract.

'He has already shown the supporters that he has a lot of quality to bring to Sheffield Wednesday and has had a hand in many of the goals we have scored since his arrival.'

The deal is subject to going through the Football Authorities but Gray will still be in the squad to play Barnsley regardless, with his current loan deal not set to expire until the end of the week.

I think we all would have liked two or three coming in but Laws made it quite clear that no-one else was coming in unless we shipped a few out.
