'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Snow Way!

Wednesday fans will be updated by the club tomorrow lunchtime about the chances of the Owls' Championship clash with South Yorkshire rivals Barnsley going ahead tomorrow night.

The official Owls website earlier stated that no pitch inspection would be taking place ahead of the South Yorkshire derby match with struggling Barnsley.

But the heavy snowfall across the country has forced the club to rethink its plans, with an updated expected on the official site at lunchtime tomorrow.

Snow in some parts of the country is expected to continue, and even increase, overnight.

And as well as looking at the actual Hillsborough playing surface, the safety of both sets of supporters will be taking into consideration before giving the game the green light.

Keep checking Vital Sheffield Wednesday for all the latest updates.

Wouldn't surprise me if the game was called off. Gives us more time for the piggy game and we cant pick up any injuries up if we don't play tomorrow. It's worked before!!
