Owls Game Set For Green Light

Wednesday's Championship clash with South Yorkshire rivals Barnsley is set to be given the green light tonight after an improvement in the weather conditions.

The club called a pitch inspection for lunchtime today following the severe weather conditions throughout Sunday night and yesterday.

But a decrease in expected overnight snow has allowed the undersoil heating at Hillsborough keep the snow off the pitch.

And a decision is now expected to be made about the safety of both sets of fans in and around the ground before the match will officially get the go-ahead.
