Owls Match Off

Owls Match Off

Wednesday's Championship clash with Barnsley has been called off tonight due to the dangerous weather conditions.

The Owls were scheduled to take on their South Yorkshire neighbours at 7.45pkm this evening but the current cold snap has caused chaos on roads around Hillsborough.

The club have revealed that the playing surface was in playable condition thanks to the undersoil heating at S6 but the conditions on the roads and pavements surrounding the ground was of enough concern to postpone the match.

The club are in discussions with Barnsley to re-arrange the match, keep checking the official site and Vital Sheffield Wednesday for all the latest updates.

But playing tonight could have given us more injuries at the time we don't need them. Plus the Dingles three new signings would have been out to impress. Good decision if you ask me. And not only that the pigs have got to play their game tonight and have a long journey there and back! :)

What a great fan you are PigforLife - spending time on this site instead of going to watch your team. Do you get a free kids season ticket too, so you don't have to part with your dole money!?

What makes me laugh is that every now again I make a comment on the front pages if I think its needed. A couple of days ago PFL accuses me of spending all my time on their site, that in itself is wrong because as I recall Ive probably posted no more than 5 things on there. I mean what fan in their right mind would spend all their time on a rivals site anyway, oh hang on BFL would.

Sounds like BFL is slightly worried about us taking more points off them this season, 4 points again would be good but 6 would nice which it should have been last season!
