Derby Day Reactions

There's a strange whining noise on Radio Sheffield.. time to switch off Kevin Blackwell and sample the reaction to today's record breaking win (full match report to follow)!

The first Sheffield derby double for the Owls in 95 years? The first win at Bramall Lane since 1967? Now that IS priceless.

Owls boss Brian Laws kept his post-match reaction simple and straight to the point: 'I'm ecstatic. To come here and win is brilliant. We played so well: we were the better side and made the better chances. Everyone was absolutely magnificent: I am so proud of my players and delighted for the supporters.'

The Vital SWFC forum is already buzzing:

'Massive credit to the lads out there today they've done wonders, Tudgay with a wonder strike and Granty with that save at the end both deserve special mentions, but the man I put todays victory down to is Mr Laws, that guy is immense!!' - Miruic

'Top team in sheffield, United who??? Brian Laws, Lee Strafford and all the fans who followed through thick and thin, you little beauty, GET IN!' - dbblue

'Lets see if we can string a few together now and make a drive up the tablet!!!! we are like a new team with Gray and Potter... Its a good time to be an OWL.' - heslip2000

More reactions and news as it comes in, including a full report. Come on down to the forum and join the celebrations!

Just under 9,000 I think. I couldn't believe how crap Utd are. If we hadn't sat back in the second half, we would have had 4 or 5.

Nothing quite like a win in the derby. Gets the blood flowing and the team psyched up for the rest of the season. Well done the owls!
