Owls Set For Rovers' Revenge

South Yorkshire rivals Doncaster Rovers are setting their stalls out for a revenge mission when the Owls make their first ever trip to the Keepmoat Stadium this weekend.

Rovers put in an impressive performance at Hillsborough in the reverse fixture but fell to an unfortunate 1-0 defeat, something thats been the story of their season so far.

But after already picking up three points from Sheffield United recently, Rovers are looking to make it a Steel City double with victory over the Owls on Saturday (kick-off 3pm).

'I thought that we started out the better side but that Wednesday took control for the last half hour of the first half,' Rovers assistant Richard O'Kelly told the Sheffield Star.

'They started the second half brightly but I thought that we came more into it the longer the game went on and we probably deserved a point.'

Wednesday boss Brian Laws will be keen for the clash with Rovers not to be a case of 'after the Lord Mayor's show' after Wednesday completed the Sheffield derby double over rivals United at the weekend.

The trip to the Keepmoat will be the Owls' second of three South Yorkshire derby matches in the space of ten days, with Barnsley coming to Hillsborough next Tuesday.

Donny have been in better form lately, but so have we. It will be an interesting game, but I see a 2-1 win for us in the cards!!
