Laws Looking To Secure Tudgay

Wednesday boss Brian Laws is looking to secure Marcus Tudgay's long-term future at Hillsborough by offering the striker a new deal at S6 in the next few weeks.

The former Derby County frontman has been in sensational form in the blue and white stripes this season, being arguably the club's player of the season so far alongside goalkeeper Lee Grant.

And Laws is wanting to act quickly to secure the striker's services for the long-term future, despite still having 18 months to run on his current deal at S6.

'For players like Tudgay, we need to make them secure,' Laws told BBC Radio Sheffield.

'I'm sitting down with his agent in the next couple of weeks.'

As well as Tudgay, Laws will be looking to give new deals to goalkeeper Grant, tipped for an England call-up this season, and Leon Clarke, who has enjoyed a huge turnaround in fortunes after a rocky start to his Owls career.
